Shower drains

Shower drain channel is a dream solution for many customers, but it’s important to note that not every bathroom allows for its installation. Its setup requires a certain minimum construction height, which affects the floor structure. This isn’t always possible, especially in panel buildings. 

Placement of the shower drain channel

There are three ways to place a shower drain in the shower area. The first option is a freestanding channel. This solution provides very effective water drainage but requires complex installation with sloping from all sides. Sometimes it makes more sense to choose a wall-mounted shower channel, where sloping is needed only from one side. A rare option is channels built into the wall, which we also offer.

Water flow capacity

Check the water flow capacity of the shower channel. It should not be lower than the showerhead’s flow rate, or water will accumulate. This is especially important for public showers, such as those in swimming pools or sports facilities, where 100 liters or more can flow per minute. In such cases, multiple channels with sufficient capacity are required.

Material

The cheapest channels are made of plastic, which resists moisture and has long durability. However, we recommend stainless steel shower channels, which look better and have a longer lifespan. They can be cleaned with most household cleaners. The downside is a higher price.

Design

Design matters in every field, and shower channels are no exception. Stainless steel channels offer the most variety, with different shapes and different drain grate appearances.

Don’t underestimate design. In walk-in shower setups, the drain channel is a visible element. A striking design will stand out and attract the attention of visitors to your bathroom.
